Getting Your Pressure Washer Nozzle Sizing Right

Nozzle part numbers combine the spray angle and orifice size. For example, a 2504 tip features a 25-degree fan pattern with a size 4.0 orifice.

To select the right nozzle:

  1. Identify your machine’s exact GPM and operating PSI.
  2. Cross-reference a nozzle sizing chart to determine your required orifice size.
  3. Select your spray angles based on the job:
  • 0° (Red): Max impact for pinpoint cutting, blasting, and tough spots.
  • 15° (Yellow): Stripping paint, cleaning equipment, and heavy-duty concrete prep.
  • 25° (Green): The standard workhorse angle for general commercial cleaning.
  • 40° (White): Wide fan pattern for rinsing delicate surfaces, vehicles, and windows.
  • Soap Nozzles (Black / Brass): Low-pressure orifices designed for chemical pulling and downstream injection.
