About BCE

Our story

In the 1980s, a ten-year-old named Brian rode along with his dad, Randy, on sales calls and deliveries. Randy sold cleaning detergents and pressure washers to trucking and transportation companies, and he was the top salesman at Dixie Products in Atlanta. From the passenger seat, Brian learned how his father did business: show up, understand the customer's work, and keep your word.

Around 1992, Randy bought Bulk Chemical Co., a one-man detergent business that had served the same customers since 1969. Brian joined him in 1995. They sold cleaning chemicals first, then the machines that used them, and soon the machines were outselling the chemicals. Before long, father and son ran one of the largest pressure washer dealerships in the region.

Selling other people's machines taught us what they got right and where they fell short. Around 2000, Brian, a Georgia Tech engineer, designed a better gas engine skid. We paid for all of the development, a larger manufacturer built it under our name, and it quickly became our best seller.

A year later, we sat in that manufacturer's national dealer meeting and watched them unveil a near-identical copy as their own new model. It was a hard lesson, and a clear one. If our ideas were worth copying, they were worth building ourselves, under our own name.

In 2003, Bulk Chemical added an E, for Equipment, and BCE Cleaning Systems began building its own machines. It was harder than we imagined. The industry was small, and the big manufacturers made sure pump and engine suppliers wouldn't sell to us. So we bought frames, built machines and kept building until our volume was too big to ignore. Within a few years, every major pump and engine maker had signed us on as an Original Equipment Manufacturer.

Then came the 2008 recession. Orders slowed for two and a half years, and like so many others, we had to downsize and push through. When the economy turned in 2010, we went all in: new equipment, a bigger team, new products, and every step of the build under our own roof. In 2011 and 2012, oil services companies came to us for hundreds of custom units a year, built to spec and run hard in the field. That's where our machines were truly proven, and where we became a true manufacturer, from raw material to finished machine out the door.

Our customers kept showing us where to go next. For years, contractors bought our pressure washers and added hoses and nozzles to clear sewer and drain lines. They were telling us what they needed, so in 2025 we launched a new line of equipment built specifically for sewer jetting.

Today, we give the same attention to the small contractor whose family depends on the business as we do to the enterprise fleets that keep the country running. Every unit is cut, bent, welded, assembled and tested in Calhoun, Georgia, before it ships, and when you call, you talk to the people who built it.

Those people are the heart of BCE. Every machine passes through many hands, and every one of them matters as much as the whole. We've built a culture of quality and camaraderie, because our team is our most valuable asset, and only together can we build a great product. We're still growing, still adding people and capacity, and still looking for a better way to build a machine. We believe our best work is ahead of us.

What we stand for

We build equipment for people who depend on it to earn a living. Our job is to get it right, and to make it right when it isn't.

01

Always a better way.

We haven't built the perfect machine yet. Every build teaches us something, and the next one is better for it.

02

Details matter.

Anyone can build something. The details are what separate a machine that gets by from one that lasts.

03

Customers first.

We'd rather sell you the right machine than the biggest one. When something goes wrong, we pick up the phone.

04

Pride in the work.

Our name is on every machine, so we test every one before it ships and stand behind our product.

Who we build for

Our machines are sold through dealers across the country and run every day by companies in these industries.
